Redesign project: CEEi website revamp
Elevating the user experience and modernizing the design of a credit intelligence specialist.
Role
UX/UI Designer
Industry
Credit and finance
Duration
2 months

While working at SA AT PLAY we were tasked with completing a full website redesign of the CEEi website. The end goal was to modernize the look and feel of the website to align it more closely with their brand and to improve the user experience, accessibility information and to ensure lead generation.
Phase 1. Understand
During the understand phase I focused on exploring, reviewing, and critiquing the old website design, layout, and user flows to gain insights into how I may improve the website's design and experience. A content audit was completed with the client after this critique to propose content suggestions for the website to make it more informative which could assist in generating leads. Throughout this process I completed research and explored other modern finance websites to gain design and user experience inspiration.
Phase 2. Curate
Throughout the curate phase my primary focus was on the process mapping, wireframing, and user interface design.
Process Mapping & Wireframing: Using the insight and inspiration gained through the understand phase I was able to create a basic high-level process map that focused on creating more intuitive and goal-oriented user journeys that enhanced the user experience. These process maps guided my low-fidelity, pencil and paper, wireframes which formed the core of my redesign solution.
User Interface Design: The revamped user interface design solution prioritizes a clean and modern design - that aligns closely with the CEEi brand - that ensures the user engages with the content and the website. These designs have been curated to resonate with CEEi's target demographic, ensuring the interface is unique, functional, and visually impactful.

Phase 3. Animate
During the animate phase I prioritized creating a functional high-fidelity prototype to assist in demonstrating the revamped website design to the client. I leveraged Figma to curate the detailed prototype that brought the newly improved user-journeys and designs to life by showcasing the website's enhanced functionality and interactivity.
Phase 4. Assess
In order to assess and identify any unforeseen usability issues that could impact the effectiveness of the new design. We facilitated user testing with a diverse group, including the client, to gather insightful feedback on our proposed redesign. The feedback we received was very positive with high levels of user satisfaction and engagement. With minor fine-tuning, the website was approved by the client and handed over for final development and implementation.
